We are thrilled to share that in honor of School Nurse Day (May 8, 2024) and Mental Health Awareness Month, TIME Magazine chose today to publish my op-ed, "To Address the Teen Mental Health Crisis, Look to School Nurses." My perspective uses historical analysis to support how a school nurse in every school would make a difference in combating the teen mental health crisis. Please share with VASN (I wasn't exactly sure of the best emails to use for this) and consider sending a copy to local, state, and national policymakers in support of passing the One School, One Nurse Act, a bill that would provide every public school in America with a full-time Registered Nurse.
