One of VASN's functions is to improve school health services and health education by establishing and maintaining working relationships with other agencies and organizations. These partnerships take many forms including collaborative projects and coalitions with organizations that share a similar mission.

Organizational Collaborations

VASN is fortunate to work with a variety of public and private organizations and coalitions to advance the health, safety, and wellbeing of Virginia’s school children. Work is done in such key areas as reducing the spread of communicable diseases, controlling chronic illness, covering the uninsured, and promoting healthy living. Other initiatives include increasing access to health, eliminating of health disparities, and improving the delivery of safe and effective school nursing care.
